Looking for a 4 pc Cow canister set. They are shaped like cows and about $100.00. Please send me the link.?

I sold a set of cows online and UPS busted them in transit. Now they will not honor my claim unless I can prove how much they are worth. My problem is I bought them 5 years ago for $100 and don’t have the receipt. If anyone knows of any link showing 4 ceramic canisters shaped like cows for about $100.00, please send it to me. Thank you.
I have googled it, I can only find cylinder shaped canisters with cows painted on them. I need ceramic canisters shaped like cows.

Metal canister with a light in the center, throws images on walls…??

I am trying to trackdown/buy a “device” that is usually made of metal, which has a light source (usually a bulb or a candle) in the middle, around which revolves a cover/canister. This cover/canister has cut-outs of various shapes and figures in it, so when the light-source shines through these shapes and figures, the shapes of the cut-outs are thrown on the wall. And as the whole “contraption” revolves, the shapes on the walls seem to be moving around the room too. This device is powered either by winding it up manually or, even better, electrically. I suppose you could call it a child’s toy as it fills the room with these moving images, but adults, like myself, find it fascinating (or maybe I don’t get out much…[:0)

Any ideas as to what it is called and where I may be able to buy one of these?

Thanx in advance.

Looking for airtight canister/jar, any suggestion?

Been looking for some glass airtight canisters that hold dry food, so i can neatly organize them inside my drawer cabinet. All i found is plastic, acrylic canisters. I like square shape because it’s more space-efficient storage in cabinets. I don’t like plastic because it tends to obsorb odor. I don’t know about acrylic though. Bascially, what i am looking for is square shaped (and couple round), glass-made and airtight containers or jars. Any suggestion? where to buy online or in store? Thanks a lot.

What else can be causing my Check Engine light to come on?

I have a 1997 Plymouth Breeze with the 2.0 four cylinder engine. The “light” came on over the weekend and I took the car straight to Auto Zone for a scan of the OBD2 system. The only code that registered was P1494, I called the chysler dealership and they said it was a leak in the evap system. Most likely cause was a loose or missing gas cap. I checked for this, and even went to the expense of buying a new one. After the new cap was installed, I had the code erased. I reset my trip meter and drove about 90 miles and the light came back on. I’ve had a mechanic check the lines and hoses running from the fuel tank to the charcoal canister and then to the engine. All were tight and in good shape. I was also told by the dealership that the leak detection pump might be bad. This is a small vacume pump that keeps a constant vacume to the evap system. My Haynes manual shows this pump, but my mechanic says there isn’t one on my car. I’m now being told the problem is my O2 sensors??????

[Answer]:okay, slow down a little bit. A) What is your time worth?? Running all over town, to get “free” advise from Autozone! Good lord, they cause more problems than they fix. Be that as it may, An evap system code can come in the form of a slight leak or a gross leak. Yes, the cap can do it and often does, BUT, swapping out parts isn’t the answer. The system can be checked with a diagnostic smoke machine attached to a 1-2 psi limiter attachment. Essentially, an inert and non toxic smoke is pumped into the system and it will find a leak (if there is one.) The Vac pump is on the vehicle. It should normally be closed. When the computer commands it, it opens and tries to hold a vacuum which indicates that the evap system is operating. A person just looking at all the hoses and fittings is usually NOT going to find a small leak without proper equipment. Now, lets say the smoke test is negative for leaks. The pump is easily tested and if it fails diagnostic testing, it would be the suspect component. Here’s the thing though, How much time did you REALLY use up by dealing with the autozone people, then the dealership which honestly, HATES it when people call asking for free diagnostic information. And then having someone “look at the lines” You also indicated that you’ve had your head buried in a Haynes manual which at best is a good source for minor issues. Lastly, you say someone is condemning the o2 sensors?? No, if someone scanned the car again and now an o2 sensor code is present, that is possible but it would be a seperate issue. NOT related to the EVAP system even a little. So, having added up all your time, money, gas etc. HONESTLY, how much does that pencil out to? If you value your own time, you can probably say its a few hundred dollars. For that, you could have gone to a reputable diagnostic repair facility and gotten the whole thing resolved. I sound like I am harping I know, but really what I am saying is that when folks try to skirt the professionals, it just usually causes problems like this. Code scanning at auto parts places for free is a rouse. Codes don’t often tell you what the problem really is, its just another tool in a mechanics tool box to diagnose a system. These places reading codes for free are trying to sell you (joe customer) parts. It’s that simple. O2 sensor code?? hey, you need o2 sensors, and they’ll sell em to ya. When dealing with systems like EVAP or EGR or fuel system control strategy etc, leave it to the pros. The pros are NOT at shucks or auto zone or cragens. The pros have 30K in diagnostics and handtools minimum and technical training AND real world experience. If the guys and gals at the corner parts house were good at diagnostic routine and repair strategies, THEY would be working at a shop as the pay is about 4 x’s as much.

Last rant for anyone reading this, we get more cars dragged into my shop by shadetree mechanics and by some folks who shouldn’t even be allowed to own a wrench. We take apart what they “fixed” and make it safe and reliable again. I am not speaking to your personal level of talent and know-how. Just a general observation. There’s a sign hanging in many shops that says something like “if we work on it, the labor rate is $85 hour. If you worked on it first, its time and a half.” There is much truth behind that sign.

If you are getting so many different answers from the folks you dealt with, I would suggest taking it to a reputable shop who has the equipment and pay the man to fix your car. You can always get (and I encourage it) a written estimate before hand. Lastly, you’ll get a warrantied repair. That has value as well

good luck

Grade 11 Physics help?

One solution to managing nuclear waste is to store it under the seabed in the deepest parts of the ocean. One method would be to drop a bullet shaped canister so that it hits the ocean floor with a velocity of 112km/h and it penetrates the sediments to a level of 30m before stopping. If the canister and its contents have a mass of 50kg find

a) the average acceleration of the canister from the time it enters the seabed to the time it stops.

b) Calculate the average net force on the object while it is accelerating.
plz help me quickly

[Answer]:For part a) you do not need the mass ,use the equations at = v and 1/2at^2 = d, combine the two to get a single equation that eliminates the time variable or

1/2v^2 = ad, so now since you know d = 30m and v = 112km/hour = 31.1111 m/sec Also we are assuming a constant deacceleration. Otherwise I don’t have enough information to solve this problem.

you get “a” = 16.132 m/sec^2

The net force would be using F = ma = 16.132 * 50 = 806.6Nt.
